My home studio is my high-vibe artistic haven, a work in progress nurtured over many years. It is my delight to welcome clients into this safe and collaborative converted garage space to create imagery that will bring joy for years to come!
On days when the climate does not cooperate, I operate a small indoor studio space for groups of 1-4 people.
For Signature Sessions, there is an optional "On Location" upgrade. I regularly travel to Southeastern PA, Baltimore/DC area and take occasional clients whole traveling.
My portrait ethos is holding a kind, welcoming space for all and ask that we resist negative self talk in this sacred space. We are here to SHINE, despite what you may have been told.
My mission is to help clients step back a bit from conscious and unconscious and unkind beliefs we may have formed about ourselves, our bodies, our age and abilities, revealing the radiant spirit that exists within all beings.
My hope is that through the process of intentional/experiental/theme-based photography projects, we can see, honor and celebrate who we NOW, who we have been to get here AND who we are becoming, helping us all to show up more at home in our selves through all life chapters.
Yes - I love photographing extended families and multiple generations. This is holy and important work! Because families are each unique,, the best way to inquire is to have a consultation on Zoom to discuss the options.
I create custom, on-location sessions for multi-generation gatherings in your space or my studio. Sessions can be highly styled (i.e. we work with a stylist to rent/purchase wardrobe for everyone, a wardrobe stylist is onsite to ensure everyone is red-carpet ready, head to toe) or we provide everyone with "recommended wardrobe" color + style ideas for a more relaxed vibe.
Each family brings their own dynamic. The key is gathering all key stakeholders and anyone making purchasing decisions to join us for the styling call to understand and align on the intention and scope of the final product.
Do you want a full group shot of everyone in the moment? Group shots of each family which are composited together into a large portrait for the wall? Grandma and Grandpa with all the grandchildren? Anything is possible and I welcome the opportunity to discuss your needs and wishes for a timeless multi-generation masterpiece featuring all your beloveds. This is a WONDERFUL addition to family reunions.
This is a GREAT question! Most people don't commission art of or for themselves on the regular. That's where professional portrait photographers are your best bet when you are looking for a high quality image that you can be proud of, that will endure and be printed in real life, not just living in some random and easily lost digital file. Portraits mark moments and I believe we benefit greatly from portrait sessions every 5-10 years over the course of a lifetime. A gifted portrait artist is able to create a timeless and emotion-rich snapshot of you in time. One that becomes a tangible and revered part of your legacy, treasured by those who love you for years to come. There is a portrait session to suit every situation and lifestyle. I believe everyone deserves a portrait they adore and I look forward to creating that for you!
Turnaround varies based on project deliverables and session type. For some sessions, like Headshot Marathon and Limited Edition sessions, you will have the option to view un-retouched images directly after your session and choose your favorites for purchase and additional retouching. Digitals from these sessions can be available as soon as 24 hours after purchase. Prints and custom artwork can take a week or more depending on the vendor and season. If you are seeking images for a particular event/date, please reach out.
Yes, we offer professional retouching services to enhance your photos. My general approach is to remove anything that would not be there in a month (i.e. skin blemishes, scratches, etc.). I work with clients to understand their wishes for their images and retouching style. If there is a particular area that you would like to enhance or refine, please share this info during your consultation. Often posing and lighting can make the biggest difference to creating images you adore!
